Hello Friends and Family,

I welcome you to the Northville chapter of buildOn! buildOn is a not-for-profit organization with the mission of empowering youth in America to make a positive difference in their communities while helping citizens of developing countries increase their self-reliance through education.

Today there are 1.2 billion people in our world who suffer from illiteracy. Day after day they wake up not knowing how to read or write. The inequality they face is evident, but as members of a global community, we can change this. We can make a difference.

Spread out among 118 high schools, buildOn students have contributed over 761,682 hours of service in their communities and touched the lives of more than 1,428,615 people in the U.S. itself. Furthermore, since 1991, youth chapters have helped rural communities in nine developing countries build more than 400 schools, providing more than 57,000 children and adults a better access to daily education.

Northville High School has been involved with buildOn for 4+ years and raised thousands of dollars to help support building of schools in the developing countries. We would like to continue this effort with raising money by asking you to donate to this worthy cause.

I was fortunate enough to travel to Mali last summer and first hand saw the need. The trip and the experience has further motivated me to raise money to help the cause of buildOn. So please support buildOn! Every dollar counts!
